Imam Muhammad al-Taqi (AS) was the ninth Imam of Shia Islam. He became Imam at a very young age and was known for his knowledge.
Imam Muhammad al-Taqi (AS) was born in 811 CE in Medina. He was the ninth Imam and is known as "al-Taqi" (the God-fearing). He became Imam at the age of 8 and was known for his knowledge and piety. He was martyred by poisoning in 835 CE in Baghdad.
